Sick, Sick, Sick

Kyle got sick, then Wyatt got it and now I have it- It's like a super cold. I feel terrible. Wyatt has been sick for a week and seems to be over the worst of it but still has a runny nose and a nasty cough. I was so sick yesterday I had to call in to work because there was no way I could work six hours feeling the way I was. I stayed up til 2:30 a.m last night though getting in some of my mandatory overtime, it was pretty slow thankfully and I mostly just read a book, it was pretty funny though because my nose is so stuffed people can barely understand me, hopefully this gets better soon because I hate having to repeat myself over and over because a customer can't understand me.

Kyle bought me an early valentines present today......
The picture doesn't do it justice- it's this cute Tiffany blue color. (My old camera is Kyle's from when he was in high school and it's actually just a really old version of my new one which is great because I loved my old one) It's got 10 Mega pixels compared to the old ones 4 Mega pixels, a larger screen and it's adorably blue!
I'm charging the battery now and can't wait to take some pictures of my handsome little man :)

We took Wyatt in to get his hip X-ray's today- Everything looked fine- The doc said we'll watch him for the next 3 months and if the problem still persists then maybe some physical therapy- I think everything is going to be fine and once Wyatt starts actually walking it will go away.

Kyle's last day at Mountain America is today- He really loves the people he works with and they are sure sad to see him go but life we be so much easier now his two weeks are up and he will be back to two jobs instead of 3. He's really liking Pro-Ex and has settled right back into things like he never left.

Life is good-Just hoping me and Wyatt get feeling better soon because I don't have the time or energy to be sick right now.

I am such a slacker....

I said I was going to blog more and then I haven't, I will try harder but sometimes I feel silly because I can probably count the number of people who read my blog on one hand- but I'm not writing this necessarily for other people to read, it's like my online (and public) journal I suppose.

Anywho that said let me catch you up on the goings on in the Pearson house.

Kyle got a new job- It's actually an old job he had prior to K-Jazz (Boo) called Pro-Ex. He has always regretted leaving Pro-Ex and they just called him out of the blue the other day and offered him a job- They even started him at higher pay than when he left. Kyle decided to quit Mountain America and take the job. He offered to start right away which was a bit ambitious considering he was then working 3 jobs and going to school until his notice is up. He's really excited to be back there and we are thankful for the opportunity.

We are done with our taxes! We filed online and did electronic deposit so it should be here in about a week or so. I am very excited because we've been waiting for  another tax refund to come and it has been taking forever, as soon as one of them gets here Kyle will buy me my new stove! I seriously LOATH our current stove. It was here when we moved in,  It's this nasty off-white-ish color, only one burner reliably heats up and stays heated without smoking or being stinky, and the entire stove gets hot when you turn anything on (definitely not safe) I will not be sad to see it go. We also plan on doing some remodeling around the house in the next while- the bathrooms need serious help, we are giving serious consideration to new cabinets ( don't get me started on those) and we also are  planning on sanding down the walls in the entire house ( they are currently textured). We have a busy summer ahead of us.

Wyatt went to the pediatrician today, he's such a healthy baby. Everything looked good, hes like smack dab in the middle percentile for height and weight but his head is really quite large (Porter head) We have been concerned about Wyatts leg/foot- He walks with his right foot turned out and sorta drags it when he walks. Dr. Jackson looked at it and said his foot and leg look fine but it could possibly be a problem with the hip, he hopes it would go away in the next couple months but just to be cautious is having us go get Wyatt's hips X-rayed. I hope everything is okay, he isn't walking unassisted yet so maybe when he is this won't even be a problem, we'll see.

Wyatt is trouble. He get's into all my cupboards and drawers, pulls all the movies and books off the shelves, he chews up everything he can get his little chompers on and he bites. He is very vocal especially if you don't do exactly as he wants and he is the biggest wimp ever. If you laugh too loud he goes into hysterics. He doesn't like raised voices of any kind and also doesn't like it if you laugh at his expense. He is also completely fearless, he likes to stand up in his highchair and also to lean forward and rock back and forth- every time he does this my heart stops because he could fall out and crack his head open but he just laughs. I can't buckle him in because he freaks out. He refuses to hold still at all which means every diaper change is the end of the world to him. He and CoCo have formed some sort of lopsided friendship, she has started to enjoy playing with him, he shares his food with her and they kiss eachother ( gross I know). Between the two of them leaving their toys everywhere and chewing stuff up I cannot keep the house clean.

He is such a doll and I just adore him though, all the naughty things he does just make me smile ( after pulling my hair out) and I just love him more and more every day which seems impossible but it's true. He likes to sing with me and he just babbles all the time, he can say Dad, Dada, Dog, Mom, Mama, Hey, Hi, and Baba. Otherwise it's mostly unintelligible babble.

This last weekend (01/30) JetBlue cut over to a new reservations system ( the system we use to book flights) This is actually a huge deal. I wish people realized how big of a deal this is. They put each employee through a 2 week training ( mine was mid November) and had you do 2 hours of refresher training a week until cut-over....It was not enough to prepare me for it. The system we trained on was full of glitches and errors and a lot of the processes we couldn't actually practice until we went live with the new system. The new system as to be expected has a lot of glitches and errors and we are experiencing really high hold time which equals not so happy people to talk to. We are required to work 7 hours of overtime for the next 2 weeks and then 4 hours each week after that. I am so burnt out.

It is so hard to not know what you are doing and have no one to ask for help because your sitting in your living room and there is an hour hold time to get help from anybody. Last night I got stuck on a call the should have taken a few minutes to get done but after holding for a supervisor who is who had to do it for me, she had to call her supervisor to get help and an hour and 45 minutes later I was finally off the call and it was past midnight. ( at least it was overtime pay) Below is the creepy little stress squeezey thing JetBlue sent me in my care package ( which was for cut-over but it just barely arrived today, better late than never I guess)

Despite how negative I might have made everything sound life is good and we are so happy.
